Starfield takes place in 2330, where residents of The Settled Systems are still recovering from the events of the Colony War, which took place 20 years prior. Your character is a customizable space explorer, and you’ll have the choice to play in first- or third-person as you navigate this mesmerizing world.
Hytale
Almost eight years of hard work have gone into developing Hytale, a new sandbox roleplaying game from Hypixel Studios. What makes this game stand out as an anticipated release is its extreme customizability. Players can build and share custom content and mods, use editing and cinematic tools, and create and execute codes while playing. There will also be both official and community-run servers for players on all devices, including mobile, PC and various consoles.
Hytale takes place in a fantasy world comprising uniquely shaped blocks in a 3D grid. The grid is full of biomes, dungeons, castles and a host of extraordinary creatures. A must for creative video gamers! Keep an eye out for Hytale towards the end of 2023 or early 2024.
Ark II
The long-awaited sequel to ARK: Survival Evolved, Ark II is a survival game that has gamers around the globe all talking. There’s plenty to look forward to, with movie star Vin Diesel not only featuring as a character in the game but also stepping up as its Executive Producer.
Set for release mid-year 2023, this Studio Wildcard creation will only be accessible via Xbox Series X on launch but will be available to play via PC at a later stage. Ark II takes place in a prehistoric world where it’s up to you to navigate your way around dinosaurs and other fearsome creatures without falling victim to their rage!
Resident Evil 4
Arm yourself! ‘Over the shoulder’ third-person shooter classic Resident Evil 4 is returning. The Capcom remake will be released in March 2023 for Playstation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S, almost two decades after its initial debut. The horror survival game has left gamers in awe and terror for many years – but it’s about to get much scarier and more exciting, thanks to its ultra-realistic graphics and effects.
If you dare, step into the shoes of Leon S. Kennedy, a US agent who’s on a mission to rescue the president’s daughter. Here’s where it gets creepy: she’s being held captive by a violent cult known for worshiping an ancient parasite!
Street Fighter 6
Can’t get enough of combat games? You’ll love the new addition to the Street Fighter franchise, Street Fighter 6 – another title by Capcom. The new game is set to debut sometime in 2023 and will offer three gameplay modes, including Fighting Ground, Battle Hub and World Tour.
Street Fighter 6 will be accessible via PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows. Expect vibrant graphics, a selection of both new and returning characters and a strong graffiti and hip-hop theme. Experts are talking about how this is going to be the game to set the tone for a fresh era of fighting games, so you can rest assured that it’ll be worth the wait!
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2
Nintendo Switch already offers an incredible selection of games, but the promised early 2023 release of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has fans on the edge of their seats.
