Borgata is excited to announce that we’ve partnered with BetMGM Poker for a live major series poker tournament at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. “The Return” series joins the many other exciting Borgata poker tournaments and will take place from January 2–8, 2023, and consist of four events hosted in Atlantic City.
The two highlights of this series are undoubtedly the $3M Championship Tournament and the $1M Mystery Bounty event. Here is a breakdown of the four events you can look forward to.
The $3M Championship Tournament
The Championship Tournament has a $5,300 buy-in and gives players the opportunity to compete for a guaranteed prize pool of $3 million. Those who make it to the final table stand a chance to win the first-place prize of $1 million with no payout structure adjustments. This event starts on January 4, with the winner being decided at the final table on January 8.
$1M Mystery Bounty event
The first-ever Mystery Bounty event will take place on January 2 and 3, and the action will play out using the Deep Stack Mystery Bounty format. Unlike the traditional bounty system in which players are awarded a fixed amount for eliminating a player, players will instead draw a Mystery Bounty. The variation will be No Limit Hold’Em with the option for re-entry and will offer a guaranteed $1 million in bounties, with the main prize of $250,000 going to the winner of the event.
The Borgata Bounty and Super Survivor Event
The final two events in The Return are the $1000 Borgata Bounty and Super $10,000 Survivor Event. These events will occur between January 6 and 8.
Qualifying for the tournament
For those who consider taking part in the qualifiers, a complete list of events is available on the BetMGM Poker app, with the first qualifier scheduled for November 20. The live qualifier, a $540+$60 Big Stack No Limit Hold ’em tournament, will take place on January 3 and guarantees 10 seats for the Main Event.
Where will The Return be taking place?
