How Do I Qualify for the Borgata Winter Poker Open?
There are several qualifiers for the 2024 Borgata Winter Poker Open.
- Every Wednesday through Dec. 27, you can enter a $215 qualifier to stand a chance to win $2,000 Borgata Opener Packages. These packages include an $800 Kick Off Entry, a $500 Almighty Million Entry, and a $700 travel credit.
- Every Sunday through Jan. 14, you can take part in the $600 qualifiers to try your hand at winning a $6,500 Borgata Championship Package. This package includes a $5,300 Championship Entry, a four-night hotel stay from Jan. 21 – 25, and a $500 travel credit.
- Running daily from Dec. 28 – Jan. 21, you can win seat-only qualifiers to the biggest Winter Poker Open events, including the WPO Championship.

What Do I Get if I Qualify and Win?

Instead of Qualifying for the Borgata Winter Poker Open, Can I Just Register?
Yes, you can currently reserve seats online exclusively at BetMGM Poker. Online registration for all events at the Borgata Winter Poker Open will close at 2:05 a.m. EST the day of that event.
What Is the Difference Between Qualifying and Registering?
You can register online at BetMGM and pay the tournament entry fee to reserve your seat ahead of time, therefore avoiding long lines at in-person registration. You can also qualify, meaning you win your seat through online tournaments that vary in size.
Where Do I Have To Be Located To Qualify and Register?
Although you don’t have to be a resident of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Michigan, you must be physically located in one of these states and playing on BetMGM Poker online to qualify or register. What Are Seat-Only Qualifiers?
Seat-only qualifiers only award tournament entries to Borgata Winter Poker Open events (including the Kick Off, Almighty Million, Mystery Bounty, and Winter Poker Open Championship), but do not include hotel nights, travel credits, or swag. Seat-only qualifiers for individual events will run nightly from Dec. 28 – Jan. 20.
When Does Borgata Winter Poker Open Online Registration Close?
Online registration closes at different points throughout the month, each based on the various events at the WPO.
